SOP — Sample Preparation

  1. Pipette the measured sample aliquot into a scintillation vial
  2. Add the calculated volume of scintillation cocktail
  3. Cap the vial and vortex for 15–30 seconds until homogeneous
  4. Allow the vial to dark-adapt for at least 30 minutes before counting
  5. Prepare a blank (cocktail only) and a standard alongside your samples

Best for: General purpose, aqueous samples

Recommended ratio: 2:1 to 3:1 (cocktail:sample)
